Gardening Forum – Why Should I That?

A landscaping and gardening forum is a great place to discuss your hobby or occupation with other enthusiasts. You can find almost any gardening forum you can think of: from urban and general gardening to hydroponics home or organic gardening, discussing many different subjects like gardening design and shed plans or lighting with solar lights, plants, fertilizers, greenhouse gardening and so much more. The ideas are not necessarily amateurish because there are many experts who log in forums and share their experience and knowledge. You can even access large databases of information with thousands of plant species, but this usually depends on the community to which you belong.

By posting comments on a gardening forum you can share your inspiration or seek advice when you are at a loss. You can join in an existing discussion or you can launch a topic of your own, both are possible as long as you are a member. If you are new to the community, start by introducing yourself. It’s nice to just say howdy and you’ll see that people will welcome you warmly.

Any new member of a gardening forum should take a few moments and read the tips and suggestions for the use of the forum. Sometimes there are rules to be met in order to post comments. Gardeners that share their opinions on forums can provide very good ideas for growing flowers and vegetables in new and earth friendly ways. The Internet allows for a larger access to information, and great projects can come out of the international collaborations of those who work closest to land and plants.

When you join a gardening forum, you can choose the topic that most interests you. Viewing other comments can help you understand the members’ positions. You can just read and learn a few things from the older posts or join in and provide an individual solution or answer related to the gardening topic in question. Posts are usually monitored by moderators who also provide professional assistance when necessary. This does not prevent the freedom of speech but rather allows for the activity of the gardening forum to carry on without rudeness and controversies.

Join a foreign gardening forum if you speak some other language besides English, and you can thus open new horizons on gardening. The Internet does not question nationality. Most people who use a gardening forum will refer to practical applications, but discussing plants and cultivation specificity from a region different than yours may not be that useful. If you live in the tropics and you enter a discussion about temperate climate gardening, you may not take any interest in the topic.

Hydroponics Pumpkins

Why are my watermellens that i’m growing in a hydroponic system dying?

I’m in a hydroponics class and i’m growing both pumpkins and watermelons in the same system but in different barrels. The pumpkins are growing great, but the watermelons are dying. I have not added the fish yet, but the nutrient levels are right. Both i and my teacher have tried to figure this out but can’t, any suggestions?

I thinks that this is not the best time of the year to start planting watermelons or pumpkins, they like lots of heat and sun, they are late spring /summer plants. Watermelons and pumpkins are big plants they need lots of room to grow.
Best of luck.

I want to try growing hydroponic plants. Does anyone have any experience with this?
I have a ton of fish tank supplies and I’m wondering if I could use them for hydroponics.
Best answer and tips = 10 points!!
thanks :D

yes you can use the pumps to filter the hydro farm.. Honestly just google search ‘home made hydroponics’. and you’ll get tons of info..
i use my old fishtank and pump with a few additional parts and I get my trees to grow and produce fruit (papaya) ever 7-9 weeks.
